CREATIVE FEEDBACK & REVIEW.
Sometimes she's in our HQ, other times she's out on a shoot. But today's a big day for Lauren — in the sense that we're getting both.
So, starting her morning in Prahran where our clients are patiently awaiting Lauren's wisdom and 10 years of experience. Specifically, in the form of creative feedback.
We'll never set an ad live without expert review, and said expert is Lauren.
Are the ad specs right? Have we paid attention to safe zones? Is there another way to iterate this winning creative? Lauren spends this time finding new ways to improve upon our clients' ads... If they're not on a Creative retainer with us, that is.
DESIGN PAID ADS.
Feedback done. Now it's onto the tools for brands that do enlist our creative services.
Lauren's great love is Figma (though she does often pay visits to Adobe Premier Pro, Photoshop, et cetera) — and she now has some static ads to design. Our media buyers have sent through their brief. It's for an upcoming product launch, with an exclusive offer attached. In both feed and story sized, Lauren doesn't need much more information, really. She's internalised every brand guideline and knows all of our clients' brand fonts, brand colours, and brand tone of voice by heart.
All that's left to do is bring this concept to life.
Lauren is having lunch on-the-go.
To where? To a wine bar, for our client's latest on-site and lifestyle shoot.
ON-LOCATION LIFESTYLE SHOOT.
Photography is happening! But of course, we can't discount the hours of pre-work and preparation that led up to this. Lauren's team has pulled together heaps of inspo and a mood board to sense check creative direction. Models, equipment, lighting set-up, shot list, timeline and call sheet... Real behind-the-scenes business.
STRATEGY BRAINSTORM.
She's BACK! At the office.
But there ain't no rest for the creative.
And because Lauren's a voice of authority on all that, our clients want to see her in WIPs and QGRs (*Quarterly Goals Review) too. So, she's about to hop into a meeting alongside some Account Managers to chat through what's worked, what hasn't, and new ideas moving forward.
META ADS DATA ANALYSIS.
Here's what we think really sets Lauren apart from all other designers, photographers and videographers out there. She lives and breathes data too. Believe it or not, Lauren knows the ins and outs of every Ads Manager and can extract the metrics that accompany good (or not-so-good creative).
And right now, she's in the depths of the data — within a client's Meta Ads Manager.
Thumb-Stop Ratio, CTR, Costs per Click / Costs per Acquisition, ThruPlay... Those scary acronyms are all part of Lauren's lingo, so you know she talks the talk she walks.
Clients are obsessed with the way Lauren offers trends and numerical figures to back our creative strategy, and it's also why our agency subscribes to industry leading tech that's built to analyse creative performance.
POST-PRODUCTION EDITS.
Remember the shoot from a couple hours ago? Well, Lauren does and she's plenty excited about it.
So, to wrap up the day, she's jumping on those post-production tools and editing a selection of her very best. Pretty fulfilling day, if you ask us (and Lauren) — and can confirm she'll have a whole 'nother set of tasks tomorrow.
Photography with DataSauce is a simple three-step process where, for the most part, you won’t need to get your hands dirty with the actual grind – just leave it to us.
We’ll first start with Discovery.
You’ll let us know what you’re after, and we’ll let you know how we work. Please provide inspo or examples of how you'd like your photos to look, because reference images help us help you bring to life exactly what you want. Think of us as your fairy godmother – We can only grant your wishes if you tell us what they are.
If you like what you hear, we’ll then move to second base (i.e. you submit our briefing form and we get started).
Next milestone?
Sit back and relax as everything begins to fall into place. From talent sourcing through to props and locations, we’ll shortlist our top picks for you to have final say. Once all the ducks are in a row, we’re ready for shoot day! Whether it's on-site or in-house at our studio, swing by and observe or trust the process. Our team will shoot, snap and slay the entire day, so you don’t even have to lift a finger.
After the big day’s done, we’ll edit everything together just how you like it and deliver it in a nice, neat bow (aka. Google Drive folder or Pixieset). How good? Keep in mind that any work we produce will accompany two rounds of revisions, but any more than that will incur an extra cost, we fear.
As our campaigns are built bespoke to your goals, costings typically tend to vary as well.
Our project plan is crafted per your needs and how much we're able to promise (then deliver!) – so when it comes to all genres of shoots, some variables to consider include:
But our shopping list approach means you can tell us which parts of the process you need, and we'll scope it out accordingly. Of course, time spent – and therefore costs – will also be dependent on the number of products to be shot, and their respective styles. Rest assured, everything will be discussed and made transparent with you from day dot. We’ll never charge out extra fees without the green light from you first.
We’d like to say everything… But the reality is, there’s a million and one products out there (and you might be coming up with something first-in-market we’ve never seen)
So, whilst we’re confident our experts can shoot most products, it’s best we evaluate this on a case by case basis. Keep in mind that larger items – like rugs, furniture, a Tesla, or a grand piano – wouldn’t be managed in-studio and thus, incur extra costs for location and equipment.
DataSauce has an in-house creative team that will do the heavy lifting in this department, and in terms of shot selection, we’re happy to choose the best of the bunch so that you aren’t overwhelmed with options nor hit with the ultimate choice paralysis.
But if you’re the sort to love ALL the options, we can supply you with the full contact sheet of every still shot, or via a digital gallery through Pixieset or Google Drive. No extra charge.
Upon request, we’re able to provide you with all raw content at an extra cost.
Exact fees will vary depending on the number of images.
Stock photos can do the trick in a pinch — but they’re also used everywhere, by everyone. Which means your brand risks blending in when it should be standing out. And how awkward is it to know that some internet savvy user or online shoppaholic might've seen your so-called brand photos on another website?
So, professional photography is where the magic happens.
You get custom, brand-aligned visuals that feel real, build trust, and actually show off what makes your business unique. Plus, they're all yours. Your product, your vision, your team, your vibe.
Whether it’s for your website, socials, or ads, professional photography (especially at the hands of DataSauce) will be tailored to your channels, and designed to convert — putting your brand in the spotlight, not the stockpile.
Absolutely! Just let us know what target demographics you have in mind and any further specifications relating to your products’ buyer personas, and we’ll have a shortlist for your approval in no time.
But of course, models will constitute add-ons that come at an extra cost.
If you’re happy to trust us and the process (i.e. not be around during the shoot) — send your product our way, and we'll source a location around Melbourne that's in line with your tastes. Much like a real estate listing, you'll get full property or location shots of wherever we (which includes you!) choose.
But if you want to be there / want us to come to you, we’re happy to travel if you’re happy to cover the cost.
